Teachers and school leaders are increasingly rethinking their assessment methods, seeking non-intrusive ways to evaluate student performance without causing undue stress. Will game-based assessment be a new medium for assessment for ALL students including students with special educational needs?

It seems that there is huge potential. Such game-based assessment need to be valid and reliable. Kinems is performing a series of independent research studies to show that its platform can be used for effective and efficient evaluation of students' performance with reliability. Assessment for learning can be fun as well.

Let's start rethinking our assessment methods in schools. Each medium, including pencil & paper, has affordances that we should benefit from for offering engaging positive learning experiences to students.
