Kinems new Kinect game for subitizing & Math skills
Kinems released its new game, called “Bilisius”, that aims at strengthening the children’s visual perception, promoting the ability to make rapid, accurate, and confident judgments about sets with number of objects without counting.
This game also aims to help children develop the skill of subitizing. There is a strong relationship among the skill of subitizing and math achievement for young children.
Recent research studies suggest that developmental dyscalculia is associated with a subitizing deficit.
In this highly personalised Kinect game, the player sees a cluster of two sets of yellow and blue marbles and has to quickly decide (without having enough time to count) which set is larger than the other by moving the body to the appropriate sign on the floor!
